Trijicon Acog Refurbished
A buddy of mine wanted to know the date his ACOG was manufactured. So I called Trijicon and gave them the serial #'s on TH top. They said it was sold to the Military back in Feb. 2005.
Then today he got a email saying this.

We have confirmed that the provided serial & model number indicate that this product was originally sold to the U.S. Government in Feb 2005. *Also, we are required to report this communication to the Department of Defense Investigation Group so that they can determine if this product was removed from government inventory legally or not. Please do not be alarmed if you are contacted by the Department of Defense once a decision has been made to pursue an investigation of the incident and contact us if we are able to assist in another capacity.

He bought this back in 2007 at a local gun shop.
Should he be concerned or just forget about it since it was purchased at a gunshot and not from a individual?
